"I'm afraid the author is unknown," replied the Elf.
"Well, he must have been very wise, whoever he was," answered Dorothy.
"And thank you so much for everything. You have helped us a great deal.
Oh!" she exclaimed.
"What's the matter?" asked the Elf.
